Every vocation begins with a call. God spoke through someone who believed in us. Someone who listened, prayed, or showed us the beauty of a life devoted to Christ. Today, young people are searching. But we are so busy serving everyone that we fail to notice the one waiting. We cannot create a vocation, but we can notice. We can listen without judgment. We can make our parishes places where young people encounter Christ and discover their gifts. Christ is still calling. May we have the courage to respond—and the love to help others listen.
